Wire-Base Table Lamp from West Elm

2-12-WEwirelamp.jpg.jpg
We have a thing for lamps these days. If it wasn't for the old wiring in our house that overloads and blows fuses far too easily we would be filling the house with them. Our current lust object is West Elm's new wire-base table lamp. Its clean lines, vaguely vintage feel, and gray drum shade all add up to something simple but beautiful.

It also comes in a floor version, but somehow we're just not as taken with its proportions.
Wire-base table lamp, $99 at West Elm.

The cord goes down the middle. Not sure why its not in the photograph. As for the floor version...buyer beware, the shade on it is HUGE, it actually looks (or really is) about twice the size of what appears in the photograph and the dimensions are not listed on the siet...or perhaps I overlooked them if they are. I own them both. The color/texture of the shades are really lovely.
