Vintage Labels and More From Papier Valise

Jordan Ferney's blog, Oh Happy Day!, is one of our absolute favorite sources for entertaining inspiration. Seems like she's always either planning or hosting an amazingly creative soiree. Yesterday she enlightened us about Papier Valise, an online art supply boutique with a stock of vintage labels, ribbon, fabric flowers and other fun "provisions" that will have you planning crafty parties for months to come. We've always wanted to turn our house into an old-fashioned soda fountain for a party... the apothecary labels from Papier Valise might just inspire us to finally make it happen! Click through for more inspiration from the shop...

For a party with an old-timey theme or look, Papier Valise is packed with vintage baubles that would be perfect for invitations, favors, or décor. You can dress up old jars with their labels and use them to display candy or cookies on a dessert bar. Lamb-shaped foils from old candy shops would make lovely place cards for a baby shower.

Papier Valise also has a blog, Scissor Variations, where they post ideas for DIY projects using "provisions" from their shop and other up-cycled items. The equestrian-style rosettes in the last photo above are made from the insides of security envelopes, along with vintage labels and velvet ribbon. Fun for a Kentucky Derby party, perhaps?

Click over to Papier Valise for more inspiration and to order from the boutique.
