It is a 1968 Airstream Ambassador. It is being transported from Las Vegas, New Mexico to Berkeley, California, where the renovation will take place. Eventually it will end up in Fresno as an office/studio space. We will definitely keep you updated on the progress and major milestones. In the meantime you can check out Able + Baker blog for more details.

I always wanted to turn one of these and make it a spare room.

this is a great idea for a home office. stylish and seperate from the house, and maybe moveable to the job site?
check out the wonderful job designer Marcey Voyevod did with her husband Tim, restoring a vintage airstream trailer to use as an office for their design/build company, Blue Lotus Project:

They converted a 1964 airstream into an adorable little shop!

I love this idea! I have always loved Airstreams as well and wanted one to travel with. What a good way to use it when not traveling. :)

I love converted old Airstreams. I just hope they find a tree to park under in Fresno, otherwise that thing will be an oven.

I wrote a blog recently about these amazing airstream and caravan renovations that were used as offices, guest pads and workshops. For some more inspiration, check it out:
