We absolutely love those iconic furniture miniatures that you see all over the place. And ever since we saw this post we've been tempted to do some fun photography with ours as well. We guess our pal Jukka was thinking the same thing, because we recently spotted these photos from Jukka and thought it was such a fun and more permanent way (not a live animal!) to spice up those miniatures. Check out another one, after the jump!

Where do you work where you'd put things on display that people would be likely to not recognize? I tend to avoid displaying things that are above my co-workers!

I really want to own those. One of my hobbies is finding miniature furniture in 1/8 scale so my Barbies can have actual real stuff.
Lame I know, and these just do happen to be in 1/8 scale. I however, am not in an income level where I can blow $200-$300 for a copy of a designer chair. :(

I want them desperately too - but not enough to spend upwards of $200 on what is essentially a toy. I just saw some at a 50s store in Burbank (I think it's called 8 ball) in unmarked boxes - those little surprise japanese collector toys that have a selection of different ones (kind of like Kinder eggs for adults - you've probably seen similar ones at Giant Robot) - for about $12 for the the small chairs and $18 for the larger ones (Le Courboisier Lounge, MacIntosh chair, etc).
I can't find them online, though. I'll have to go back and check them out - I didn't buy them because I specifically wan ted the Eames Lounge or Chaise, and not one of the Panton chairs, etc. I may have to take a chance and buy a couple.

And before someone mentions that they're not the "original" ones - see the designer furniture thread from 2 weeks ago. The design patent ran out a long time ago... :)

KTG:
That is so funny and so condescending at the same time.

Heh, well most of my co-workers are blind so my decor goes largely unnoticed.
The other sighted people are always pleasantly suprised though.
No one has yet mentioned my jonathan alder piggy bank...
