apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Hula Pattern: Barbara Hulanicki Wallpaper

01_08.05.09_HulaWallpaper.jpgWe mentioned Barbara Hulanicki Hula Wallpaper from Graham & Brown previously on Apartment Therapy, but when we saw this photo it reminded us how much we like it. There is something very calm about soft greens in a room and this design is subtle yet daring at the same time.

02_08.05.09_HulaWallpaper.jpgWe love the graphic shapes of this pattern and how it reflects the light. Wallpapers can sometimes be overwhelming becoming more of an art piece than a wall covering, but this one has this perfect balance that we admire in a well designed wallpaper.

We came across the Hula wallpaper on the Mid-Century Modernist blog. The top photograph is what really got out attention. We especially love the wallpaper paired with the FL/Y pendant lamp. You can buy Graham and Brown Barbara Hulanicki wallpaper on the Design Public website.

I love the way the art nouveau-inspired paper pattern relates to the 60s mod pillow pattern. Tres chic.

oooh i adore it! But seeing as I'm about to move into a place where I have to strip wallpaper, I'm now cautious of using any myself... :/ http://cozylittlecave.blogspot.com

It's so 70s I thought this was a vintage photograph.
