Lighting Installation: 10-Meter-Forest from Catherine Kullberg

02.05.09_Lighting_01.jpgThis beautiful lighting installation is part of the Emil & Samuel restaurant/night club decor in Oslo. The 100m2 of wood veneer was designed by Catherine Kullberg, Norway - based designer. The light and laser cut wall and ceiling installation is a forest with owls, foxes, squirrels, and birds. Above the dining guests are back lit veneer eagles. The effect is stunning. The restaurant's atmosphere is shimmering and warm. More photos after the jump...

Catherine Kullberg's diverse experience and wide range of study, allowed her to discover lighting, starting with her first Norwegian lamp in 2007. Her work feels very crafty, detailed, and personal, but it has a high quality finish. Check out Catherine's website for more information.

Stunning! it's a nod to the Chinese art of paper cutting.

Gosh that's stunning.

I'm wondering if there are some ways we can bring this type of artwork/lighting into our homes?
