With all the messes that are made in kitchens, some may wonder why white is such a popular color for the space. But we love a white kitchen for just that reason: it conveys a sense of cleanliness that can't be faked. After all, if there are any spills, stains, or grime you'll know immediately...
And here's an idea: instead of spending big bucks on a professional range or refrigerator, get the "I mean business" look of a working kitchen by painting yours white. Instantly the emphasis is shifted to the food and cooking implements throughout the space, giving it that same professional feel at a fraction of the cost. The one drawback is that you'll have to wash the walls every few months and paint more often, but really, those things should be done in a kitchen anyways - using white just means you'll have less leeway to slack.
Of course, having amazing natural light like this certainly helps things!

I don't get the all-white stuff like this. It just looks like an old-timey hospital to me.

I agree with you, white seems very practical and beautiful. That is my style of cleaning as well, just by what looks dirty in that moment gets cleaned instead of a day dedicated to cleaning the whole house.

While I often curse my all-white kitchen (including counters and floors), I do agree that it's probably cleaner than it would be if it showed less dirt. I sweep the floor every evening and thoroughly clean the counters.
When an all-white kitchen is clean, it's truly lovely.

I love all white. Especially when paired with some black. You can always change accent colors and it looks so clean.

I also love my white kitchen, I painted it last Spring, and I view it like a canvas, I can accessorize with bright, poppy colors, or change with the seasons, while always keeping my kitchen feeling airy- to me, it's not sterile or cold feeling at all. I say go for it!

I am not a fan of whoever decided to out white countertops in dorm apartments. Ours are porous and look permanently dirty... especially when only 1/3 people is willing to clean them. White cabinets are fine but white countertops are the worst.

I love a white kitchen. It feels airy and refreshing. The open shelves in these photos are great as well.
