Ever since we did our roundup of sliced wood decorating ideas, we can't seem to get the trend out of our head. It seems we're not alone, as a reader recently submitted this wall seen at an office in Whistler...

The sliced wood wall and wood ceiling could definitely be overkill for a home, but of course it is just right for the offices of Ziptrek, an outdoors-y zip line company based in Whistler. We think mixing up the sizes of discs a bit more might be nice too, however it's all up to what works for you in your space.
(Thanks, Lauren!)
I saw similar the other day at a restaurant. Only, the slices were all small ranging from 1" to 3" wide (probably branches) but all were about 1/2" thick off the wall. I believe they filled in the gaps with a wax or some kind of resin. It looked really nice as it was only on a small wall between two large windows at the front entrance. spot lighting also helped to make it look classy.
