Look!: Best Blanket EVER

Sorry, but we've just got to brag a little bit. Actually, we're going to brag so much that we're busting out the first person....singular.

My fantastic, wonderful, ambitious mother wanted to knit me a blanket. Knowing how picky I am about, oh...everything, she asked me for a little bit of design-help and made me pick out the colors. I suggested a colorblock kind of layout and then she worked out the details. And now...looky looky what my beginning-knitter momma whipped out in just a few short months! Best blanket (and mom) ever? We think so!

1. That is so gorgeous, I'm going to send it to my knitting sister as a totally unsubtle hint.

2. The first person singular is a sweet sweet breath of fresh air. I just love logical sentence structures.

Hey, where's my blanket, sis?! I knew she always liked you better.

Oh wait - you're not my sister... Sorry I was confused 'cause MY Mom is the best ever. She even has the mug to prove it.

Sooo cute. I am knitting squares at the end of all my knitting projects with my left over yarn, so that one day I can make my own color block blanket!

This is the sweetest thing I've read all day. Hooray for knitting, and for moms, and for familial love.

THANK GOD FOR FIRST PERSON SINGULAR!

i really don't understand why AT tries to make us think that all their editors live together in one big happy, organized, modern loft.

maybe they should just try it for a week?
please?
pretty pretty please?
with sugar and a cherry on top?
