Look! Butter Yellow Trough Sink

2006_12_20_yellow.jpg

We washed our hands in this communal trough sink the other night at NoPa, and admired its poured concrete construction, and the butter yellow tint, which made the industrial material feel almost delicate.

We almost got kicked out for taking a cell phone picture in a bathroom (or in this case, just outside it, since the sink is shared by the men's and women's rooms), but that's ok. Anything for AT:SF readers. : )

NOPA is one of my favorite restaurant spaces in SF. I love the materials they used throughout, and the murals are just awesome.

The Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, CA also has really great sinks. (If you click on 'Our Hotel', select Photo 2 for example.)

I discovered NoPa through my real estate agent and I must say, that walking into this space was really enlightening and welcoming. The open floor plan is really great and the toilets were well planned. That communal sink is such a great idea too!

The food is also great and heard that NoPa was started by some ex-Chow folks.
