Look!: "Clotheslines" for Art

2007_06_12_frameless1.jpg

Fresh, fluid and at your fingertips.

Parents use clotheslines to display their kids' creations. Screenwriters use them to organize scenes that have been summarized, one to an index card. HGTV suggests them for photos you want to keep in constant rotation.

When we saw this pic on flickr (top), and a similar idea in Victoria's photostream (directly above) we thought of how beautifully the line lends itself to all kinds of visual media.

If you like to tear inspiring images from magazines or frequently update the art and photos in your midst, if you just can't commit to frames, a "clothesline" devoted solely to eye candy might be the answer to your prayers.

I keep meaning to use this fabulous idea, but never seem to get around to it. Maybe these pictures will inspire.
