Danny Seo recently showed off his medicine cabinet on his blog.
We like it. How easy it is to make something that's normally practical and boring just a little more interesting, attractive, and organized by simply transferring items into old glasses, mugs, boxes -- containers that may be sitting unused in your cupboards, or you may even be thinking about tossing because they're chipped, scratched, dented.

I adore his style... great ideas!
Another idea that I've found incredibly useful is storing stuff in shot glasses in the medicine cabinet. Very handy, not to mention decorative (unless they're too touristy/busy, in which case they at least have kitsch value!).
I'm putting this one to use with some clear candle holders shaped like flower pots. Had no idea what to do with them.
Thanks!
i hold my earrings in little sake glasses & my phone charger & batteries in old clay pitcher on the counter, but i never thought of doing that in the cabinet. i was considering buying the lucite things. nice suggestion.
I did this in my medicine cabinet with all those Glade glass candleholder cups you don't know what to do with once the candle's done.
I use old mugs/cups whose handles have broken off, but are too pretty for me to throw away.
I use vintage glasses that I can't resist buying at thrift stores. My faves are milk glass goblets, and juice glasses with retro graphics on them. It makes me happy every single morning to look at them!
Ha! I did something very similar and took the door off the cabinet altogether. http://flickr.com/photos/realcalm/320508206/

My first thought was how dangerous it is
to have glass containers in a bathroom.
Same look in plastic, I'd love it.
Why is it dangerous to have glass in a bathroom????????????????????
are you kidding violets? If a glass drops on a tile floor it will shatter. And shards of glass and bare feet do not go together well. I still recall the time when I was a child I dropped a bottle of my mom's red nailpolish on the bathroom floor. Dark red polish and shards of glass were everywhere. 35 years later and it still isnt clean.
No difference in having glass in the bathroom than glass in the kitchen in my opinion.
I like Danny's idea and the organization is simple. I'll try to employ that in my own bathroom.
