Walking in the Mission the other night, we suddenly found ourselves on a dance floor in the street! A neighbor had installed a small disco ball and lamp in the crook of a branch, and turned it on for all of the passers-by to enjoy...
We were pleasantly surprised that the lights and overall effect was not as glam and gawdy as we would have imagined; rather it gave a soft, glittery twinkle to the tree and the sidewalk. Because the ball was nestled so nicely within a leafy bough, it created a canopy of illuminated leaves above, and a fluttery light show below.
We love this idea, and can absolutely picture it in our backyard. Thanks for sharing the twinkles, neighbor!

I know this isn't the Castro but it DID take place in san Francisco but I suspect it was a gay(s) having a gay old time and decided to share w/ everyone. :-)

Huh, there must be two. I saw a disco ball in someone's corner window doing the same thing. I think it was 22&Treat, but I could be wrong.
