As the post-party glow of a long weekend wears off, we're left staring at a MASSIVE pile of dishes. Being a dishwasher-free two-person household, we get by with a small counter-top drying rack most of the time with little complaint. But these summer barbecue-heavy weekends kill us and totally screw up our standard wash-and-load method. Lucky for us, Martha gave us a nifty little tip for adding some extra space to dry our glasses. Jump below for the details...
Grab a dishtowel and a few pairs of chopsticks. Line up the chopsticks and stick your glasses (or anything else, really) on top. Ta-da! The air circulates, the glasses dry and you don't have to pile scary amounts of heavy bowls on top of your precious glassware....
wah! thank you!

OMG, i needed this tip. I'm too cheap to by a dish drying rack and the glasses always get washed by hand.

Chopsticks aren't a bad idea... but I generally just use the knives I've just washed.

Martha as in Ms Stewart?

Bodum Pavina FTW! Best (albeit delicate) glasses ever. There's something to be said about an ice cube that can last for 2 hours (or more) outside of the freezer.

How funny. I was just on Crafting a Green World reading about recycling takeout bamboo chopsticks. This is a good one.

Yes, that would be Ms. Martha Stewart...
Sally- Apparently great minds think alike, eh? That's so funny!

Looks like my dish rack every nite after dinner :D
Except I tend to stack even higher with more precarious pyrex glass items. I secretly enjoy the challenge and yes even the occasional disapointments I hear from the livingroom ....*!cRasH!*
