After ordering carpet tile samples from Flor and deciding against a Flor floor for the time being, we couldn't bring ourselves to just throw the samples away. So they sat on our coffee table for a few days, where they ultimately came in handy.
Look! Flor Tile Samples as Coasters
The tiles' transition from sample to coaster was seamless and a no-brainer, protecting the waxy finish of our Danish coffee table from mug rings. The generous size of the tile (for a coaster) also buffered the bottoms of bowls and plates.

very green!
i used old 4x4 ceramic tile and add little bumpers to them and use them as coasters.

I have six samples at the entrance to my office fintended for shoes. My cats have taken over and love to sit on them.
