Do you live in your dream home?
Dream homes are a tall order in a city like ours, so we're always inspired by folks who use their own ingenuity and resourcefulnes to make the nest they find themselves in into a dream home. In fact, that's at least part what AT is all about.
People who live in other parts of the country, in places where it's still possible for an everyday person to purchase their dream home, don't have to be as resourceful. And yet some of them are.
Case in point: Frecklewonder's well-preserved mid-century Virginia house, circa 1960, which she has filled with furniture and whimsical objects from the era.

My experiance was alot like Freckle's. I saw my house 5 years ago before it was on the market, and thought that is exactly what I want. Well when I was finally ready to buy it was on the market at an incredible price. I'm in Nashville and it doesn't look like a Nashville house, so no one was interested.
My first house was spotted months earlier on the Web. When we finally got to see it in person, it only took my husband one look at the huge stone BBQ in back to fall in love. I had to look past the dark wood paneling inside first... Had a similar experience with our 2nd house. I saw it on the Web, drove up to it with the realtor and I just knew this was the one that hubby would want. We bought it before he ever saw it in person.
Any idea what this beautiful light fixture is?
Hi Ksenia, I believe it came with the house, but you can contact Jenny through her website, frecklewonder.com.
