After getting all of our decorations unpacked, the tree set up and all of our other holiday accessories out we had some that didn't quite make the cut.
There were a few pine cones from Fall last year that had broken pieces, there were a few *cough* non breakable ornaments that broke, a shred of ribbon, a wreath that had been smashed to smithereens and a handful of metal ornament hangers.

After using the hair dryer on the wreath (simply use your blow dryer on high heat and it often times is enough to refresh even the deadest of wreath. Between the slightly warm plastic and extreme wind it should take care of you!) to liven it back up, we used our metal ornament hangers to secure the broken ornaments (broken side down) to the wire structure inside the wreath. We bent the hangers in the shape of the letter "C" and pushed them inside the ornament allowing it to expand once it was placed inside. It gives them enough hold without needing to fire up the hot glue gun.

Next we painted our sad little pine cones. Spray paint would have been easier, but these babies were painted up with some green house paint we had laying around. If you take this method be sure to work over newspaper and hang them to dry. If you allow them to sit on the paper they will stick!

The ribbon was the final touch and it was hung on the door. No need to fight the holiday crowds to purchase another piece of decor, there was more than enough scrap pieces of things to get the job done!
