We pass by the Star Wash Laundromat on Dolores Street fairly often, but it wasn't until recently, during a night time walk, that the bright turquoise wallpaper enticed us to look inside. We were surprised to see a homage to Hollywood's past pasted right onto the laundromat walls. Okay, it's not actually Hollywood Regency style decor, but what a fun idea!
Look!: Hollywood Decor... Literally
There's something about the black and white photos and headshots against the two-tone blue walls that we love. We even like how some of the photos are yellowing. Yeah, it's over-the-top, but we could actually see a wall-sized photo montage inspired by this laundromat working in a home -- although perhaps in a smaller and better arranged dose. At the very least, it's a creative tribute to old Hollywood glamour and something to look at while your duds dry.
