Look!: Interior Decor at Candybar

4-21-08 candybar.jpgWe stopped by the newly opened Candybar over the weekend to try the drinks and desserts, and ended up being most impressed with the decor.

Which is not to say that it is flashy or particularly original by any means, but we liked how a few minimal yet substantial ingredients were able to come together to create a calming and interesting environment. The bathroom received several rave reviews, with our friends concurring it was both "relaxing" and "sexy." We went in to find out what all the fuss was about and were surprised at the simplicity - a large dark wood framed mirror, a vintage bureau with plates of melting white candles, and white subway and penny tiles. Interesting it elicited such a strong response from people, though it was very pleasant.

Candybar is located at 1335 Fulton St at Divisadero.

how was the... food? I have been anticipating going here but waiting for the proverbial dust to settle first... I like to give a new place a couple of months to get into the swing of things before I check it out. Looks beauty though! Love the art!
