AT reader k_darling won a Winescape in one of our Giveaways not long ago. She sent us photos of it installed in her home. She wrote, It took me a while to put it up, and the photos aren't great (my camera broke and I had to use the one on my blackberry), but here are a few shots of the winerack in full use.

That's a great space saver, but I would be afraid of the bottles falling off, or (more likely) me bumping into them, sending them crashing to the floor.

The holes are actually angled slightly upward, alternating from side to side, so that the bottles are pretty well supported. It's only been up for a few days, so my boyfriend and I haven't crashed into it yet, but we'll see how we do in the long run.

Ah interesting. We tried to make one ourselves and gave up and bought one. (The geometry of the angled holes like you mentioned was too involved.) It's a ton safer than our rack that was on the floor. The obtrusive placement looks like there were few options. It may need to be flat against a whole wall. Just like if you hung a picture with it sticking out past a corner, you're bound to tangle with anything placed like that.
