We'll admit, we've never considered the taquerias of our city as hot spots for design, so we were pleasantly surprised when our eyes momentarily gazed away from our awesome burrito to land on these equally appealing seats...

They reminded us of a few products we've seen using recycled belts (like here and here), but we like these better because of the color of the leather and the rustic quality of the stool. The icing on the cake? They were actually quite comfortable, even post-burrito (and that's saying something).

El Toro has these too. I think the amount of use they get really helps in getting that lovely patina.
Best burritos in SF, as well.

Actually, La Taqueria has the best burritos!
And also has the same benches...

Pancho Villa has the best burritos. But not the same benches.

I love those woven stools. I'm working on an idea to visit a leather supplier in my downtown area and picking up some firm leather strapping to try this on an old ottman frame.

I get the uncanny feeling the AT posters follow me around sometimes. I went to Gordo for lunch on Sunday after a paint run to the Benjamin Moore store way out on Judah. In all, we bought and tried 9 paint samples and we're still debating the choice before the second coat goes on.
BTW, we live in the Mission but travel to Gordo for burritos regularly.

Hey, isn't "gordo" the spanish word for "fat"?
