When you organize and display your collections in groupings of like-objects, or similar colors, you're less likely to have that cluttered, knick-knack look all around your house.

becky - the pottery came first and i've always kind of keep a collection of pottery in greens and aqua's. then i just found the painting of the woman recling (from a pile of student art canvases i found in a box at a consignment store). when i moved i just decided this nook was a good place to display my collection and the self-portrait painting of my friend tom just seemed to be perfect for the mix.
