
Thanks to Becky over at Hatch, we came upon another great use of color outdoors.
This simple, modern, minimal courtyard (by British firm John Evans Interior Design) would look sterile and imposing if it weren't for the blue walls. It's the color that makes the difference -- just like in yesterday's post.










This place wouldn't be bad for one's daily Zen meditation, but it's lacking in seating space for everyday living. Stunning though, and very calming.

...yes needs seating of some sort. Also, why are the potted shrubs jammed against the wall? Pulling them away, even 6 inches, would do wonders for the esthetic. For interest, turning them at an angle would be even better!
I love the concept of this space otherwise.
