The painted wrought-iron and crystals were perfect in this feminine space, but we can see different chandeliers working in different powder rooms - the sky is pretty much the limit when interpreting this look.

Your chandelier looks great. Love the wall color.
I hung a chandelier in my guest bath:

Lovely idea, but the chandelier is too small.

i love chandeliere pretty much ANYWHERE. in my prior house, which was a gut renovation, the first order of business was the hanging of a pretty big chandelier in the center of my otherwise-simple, white bedroom. I loved the way it looked and the juxtaposition of modern/clean with ornate and old. Seaside, i love your guest bathroom too!

I love both these bathrooms.
What is the rule (I know there must be one) for what is the "right" size of light fixture for a room? The chandelier in the lilac bathroom doesn't look too small to me (although the bigger one in Seaside's bathroom doesn't look too big...).

i saw several chandeliers there this past sunday. i spent my money on a cool rocking chair and old record player instead. i do love this idea and think it looks great.

Thank you for the kind words, a_badg and Cassis.
My ceiling is only 8', so although the scale is right, the fixture does hang lower than it should. I need to set some funds aside so I can add a recessed ceiling dome which will provided the added height needed for the chandelier to hang properly.

that looks beautiful. I don't think it looks too small. nything bigger would be "gaudy".

Is the humidity in a full bathroom a problem for chandeliers because (if they're vintage) they may rust?

We have one in our master bath, gaudy or not.....

love the small-ish chandelier AND the paint color... is this 'powder room' missing a mirror or can't i find it? how in the world is a gal supposed to powder her nose with no mirror? i do declare...

I don't think the chandelier is too small. It's dainty. It's a very small room and a very small touch. However, the chandelier in the bathroom is not news to me, in terms of years.

Love the idea! I had a friend who hung a very large chandelier in a small bathroom. It was really fun.
I've adapted the idea and just hung a chandelier in the hallway between my bedroom, the master bath and the closet. I strung additional strands of colored glass beads to give it an extra kick, and installed a dimmer.
I love it.
