Form, function and a tasty treat. We heart this Italian yogurt bigtime. Not only is it delicious but we're left with a perfect little glass at the end of snack-time. We've been collecting these vessels over the years and have come up with a variety of practical uses.
Our favorites include (but are not limited to) impromptu wine glasses (for when the guests outnumber our barware), votive candle holders and simple vases for rooting our plant cuttings. We buy Spega Yogurt at our local Trader Joe's, but we've also seen it at Andronico's and Farmer Joe's in the East Bay.

They are the perfect size for toddler's juice glasses. We also use them for paint water when the kids are painting. And a hundred other things.

Haha...I saw this post today, happened to hit up Trader Joes this evening, and picked these up. Glad to hear the yogurt is good as well! Q-tips, cottonballs and makeup brushes here we come!

Wow, this is good timing. Last week, I was in SF on vacation and got one of these jars (a little bit smaller) with the Miette logo when I bought panna cotta at Miette in the Ferry Building. I brought it home because I could tell it had possibilities. Thanks for the suggestions.

What wonderful little jars. If you're in Australia, specifically Melbourne, you can get similar jars from the bakery chain Breadtop. They use them for their milk custard, which, unlike this delicious sounding yoghurt, is a bit ordinary tasting, but they also come with a very solid plastic lid. I have great plans to have a Breadtop milk custard jar spice rack and have been collecting them for ages. I'll have to post pictures when I'm done.
Either way, hooray for repurposed jars!
