Look! Striped Settees

Fifth floor, Neiman Marcus in Union Square. We usually shy from boldly printed upholstery fabrics. They can make decorating the rest of the room very challenging. But these cool velvet striped settees pull it off with aplomb. Perhaps it's because of the simple lines of the settees, which don't fight the stripes.

mmmmm....very fresh. I had contemplated more neutral colors for my couches. But perhaps I should reconsider? Mint tea anyone?

I love the arrangement. This works well with twin beds in a long room as well, with a desk or highboy in between.
