In honor of bedroom month, we revisited the Sunset Technology house tour to dig up a photo of its most ironic room: a spare bedroom that was decked out with a queen size wall bed.
We say ironic because this house was enormous, and with its many extraneous rooms, it hardly needed a space-saving feature like a wall bed. But the bed system they chose is a particularly nice example of the genre. We also think the bedding's color scheme offers a good contrast to the dark wood of the wall unit.
The bed is from Valet Organizers in Burlingame, though the ones pictured on their site are not as nice. Maybe it's a custom job.
That does sound very Sunset - goofy idea, beautifully executed. Like their outdoor showers and things they tend to feature. However, I have to say that I would love to stay in a guest bedroom that looked like this, it looks as serene as a hotel room but homier.
