We love a grand gesture, and this entryway on Union Street is no exception. The shopkeepers have made the most of a location with no sidewalk storefront by going big in scale, adding a healthy dose of drama to an otherwise simple walkway.

We think this idea could be employed in a number of different settings, and the great thing about such a dramatic feature is that you don't have to worry too much about any other decorative touches - 3 feet tall lampshades say enough on their own.
