Look!: Two Sayulita Doorways

Our honeymoon to Sayulita, just up the Pacific coast from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, was a fantastic escape after the wedding frenzy. While we were there, these two doorways inspired a wistful longing to pull up stakes and move to the town — or just copy this adorable fish gate and recreate it in front of our northern abode. The second, more majestic doorway is after the jump.

No words, sigh.

these kind of gates, colors, architecture, entry ways are a dime a dozen in Mexico in a good way.

Danielle - Where'd you stay in Sayulita? I'm heading down there and looking for recommendations...

Hey myfirstplace -- lucky you! We stayed at Villa Amor, which was definitely on the upper end of what was available:

But what I'd really recommend is staying in Yelapa, in the opposite direction from PV. Hotel Lagunita has the best food, unbelievably cute beachside shacks and great prices:

Good luck!
