After seeing Tyler's Modern Credenza IKEA Hack a couple of weeks ago, we did some snooping around on his website. One of the things we found was this reminder of how something like switching out house numbers and a light ("before" is on the left, "after" on the right) can make a big difference...

Hey! I got some really awesome new house numbers like these last summer, with the plan to replace the porch light too. Well, I haven't been able to find a modern style light anywhere- I love this one, do you mind letting me know where it is from?
thanks!

OH we did the same thing with similar numbers. Ours were from Home Depot and they already came raised so we didn't even have to hack! Here is a pic:

Andrea, we found the same numbers at our local hardware store... almost identical to DWR's Neutra House Numbers, but at 1/10 the cost.

Hi everyone here is a link to the lights. These were the best deal for the cylinder shape. Most of the other lights this style required you to buy a lenses for the top to keep the elements out. This light came with them. They have been great so far.

AndreaU - great red door!!
Did anyone who replaced the #s have a problem with the "shadow" of them left on the house when removed? I want to replace the #s and lighting on the front of my mother's house but the #s are SO OLD that I'm sure there's going to be an issue with what's under them. I don't think she has any paint that matches the house.
