Look!: Vase Made from Old Chemistry Lab Equipment

6-19-08-vase.jpg

Back in January we featured vintage home ware dealer Great Stuff, in Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood. In what has got be one of the more creative wedding gifts we've ever seen, this vase from the store was made from materials salvaged from a high school chem lab.

The round beaker can be adjusted up and down along the stand, as well as tilt side to side. We think it really shines with the eucalyptus leaves, pictured.

Nice!
I've used some leftover chemistry equipment as well:

What a great use for a round bottom flask! Probably cheaper than most vases, too, although you might have to buy in bulk.

Gorgeous. I love it that you can have flowers up high in the flask and then put something on the table below the flask, as well.
