We're guessing vintage, but we don't really know since it's not the chair on offer by the designers, it's the wallpaper and fabric. But the chair itself is gorgeous.
We think the chair is metallic silver painted wood, but it could also be steel or aluminum. Does anyone know where it comes from?
To see the wallpaper, go here.
The chair looks like aluminum--we tried to buy a set once from Sultana in SF but they sold it out from under us--heartbreaking!

I have that chair. Although mine is painted white, so not nearly so pretty. But yes, it's solid aluminum, and I think from the early sixties.
Have to break out the stripper...

That is a pretty chair. If it was a necklace, I'd wear it every day.

Hello - we (Kyra and Robertson from twenty2) fell in love with this chair when we were shopping for our photo shoot - on the hunt for chairs to compliment our newest wallpapers. The chair is solid aluminum and we covered the seat with our Acco 22 fabric. This Montague wallpaper photo was taken in 2004 and the chair was rented (sadly as we would have loved to keep it! He only had one of these, but if he had more we probably couldn't have resisted adding them to our home) from one of our favorite vintage shops - City Foundry on Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn, NY. The owner is Sohrab - he has amazing stuff. We are always on the look-out for great chairs for our wallpaper shoots - even up till the last moment. For that same shoot, we found this chair - http://www.twenty2.net/wallpaper/pages/montague_terrace_page.html - the night before the shoot at General Nightmare on Columbia St in Brooklyn. This chair was not for rent - just for sale - but we enjoy it on our back patio to this day!

We had a PAIR of these at our store austinmodern.com
these were made by Crucible Products in NY Circa 1958
They were stunning!
Unfortunately they sold LIGHTNING fast and I haven't found another one since. However you can bet if I can find more, I certainly will.
They are surprising small in person but despite the diminutive size they are exceedingly comfortable.
