Got ideas for a spot to hold our party?
We're looking for suggestions for places to hold our San Francisco Color Contest wrap party on Thursday, November 15. We'll be announcing the winners, celebrating all the entrants, sipping wine and talking color, design and Apartment Therapy. We want to meet at a nice bar that's close to BART (quiet enough for chat). While we've thought of a bunch of places, none of them seem quite right...
So tell us -- where should we meet?

Bimbo's, Hotel Tomo, Rex, a terrace at the Vitale

in the mission: majool
good food, rooftop bar as well as a large ground floor place walking dist. from bart
also, nearby is foreign cinema, bissap baobab, beauty bar...
or try one of the larger gathering spots in the ferry building.

The above spots, while all nice, are either too small (Baobab, Beauty Bar) too outside/cold (Vitale, Medjool), or too loud (most of the above). Hard problem, but I'd suggest the lobby bar at the St. Regis or looking into renting a private room at a place like Foreign Cinema. The St. Regis is certainly inspiring from a design point of view...

Some ideas: DaDa, 111 Mina, Bar Tartine?

We had a San Francisco MoCo Loco meet-up at Vessel. It turned out to be a great spot because A) it wasn't crowded, and B), there is plenty of room for large groups. Granted, it's more martini style than a glass of cab, but it's still designed really well and fits all the other requirements for a small gathering. Vessel is also conveniently near the Powell street BART station.
The St. Regis is BEAUTIFUL, but the seating arrangements are a bit too intimate for groups larger than six.
Otis might be another good choice, we could all meet upstairs in the loft. It depends on what time you're interested in having this. Are we talking happy hour or later?

Oh, and one other thing :)
The Mission has some GREAT locations, but they have a tendency to be too loud or too crowded. This has just been my experience in my 24 years of living here and being a hardcore party scene girl. Just my two cents :)

I vote for hotel Vitale! I believe they have outdoor heaters up there, and the views are amazing.
