Dwell has a new Editor-in-Chief!

2006_11_13_Sam_Grawe.jpgThis just in from our friends downtown at Dwell: longtime editor Sam Grawe has been named Dwell's new Editor-in-Chief.

Sam replaces Allison Arieff (one of our judges in the ongoing AT Color Contest) He's one of Dwell's founding editors and has been at the magazine since its inception in 2000.

Under Sam's leadership Dwell will bump up its yearly output to ten issues (from nine) and continue to sponsor brand extensions like Dwell on Design.

We've enjoyed Dwell through all its growth and change over the last six years and we're looking forward to seeing where it will go now...so welcome Sam!

I thought this was my friend Ben Affleck, at first glance.

Is he wearing makeup?

Wow. He sure does look young to be an editor at a magazine. I hope he takes into account the AT readers' comments from the posting the other day about Shelter magazines.

P.S. Sam - can I have a job?

Good call, Peggy.... I hope he does listen up.

Now, I wonder why Mr. Grawe isn't smiling? He does look kinda down and out about his new job position.
Trade ya, Sam? (:

Congrats Sam, steer the magazine true, captain! Despite any small quibbles I have with Dwell, it remains one of my favourite publications...glad I'll be getting an additional issue of Dwell each year.

I was assuming (hoping?) that Mr. Grawe looks youthful due to use of excellent skincare products rather than actual dewiness. I'd put him at 35 or so, based on the lines around the mouth.

That's totally irrelevant, of course, but I'm kind of enjoying critiquing a MAN's competence based on his looks.
