We love this theme because it's personal, inspiring, and inclusive. Whether it's a wall-size oil by an artist you discovered at Open Studios this year, a Play-Doh alligator sculpture made by your Little Brother, or a framed X-ray of the broken leg that introduced you to your future wife, the ER doctor, if it makes your heart sing when you see it -- so much so that you made a special place for it in your home -- January is the time to share it on AT.
And in the open-hearted and personal spirit of our theme, we're not actually running a contest this month. Instead, we're hoping you'll feel inspired to share the way you've incorprated art into your home by sending in some pics and a few words of explanation. As a thanks, we have an AT book or a T-shirt (your choice) waiting for the first 25 of you.
Also this week: we're considering running an auction of local artists' artwork this month, the proceeds of which will go to a home-oriented charity. If you're an artist or gallery interested in participating, please drop us a line.
Be on the lookout this week for news about this and for more posts from the folks contending to be AT: Home Tech bloggers, and let us know what you think of them. And as always, we love to hear your tips, resources, dilemmas, questions, and pics, so don't be strangers!
