Apparently March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, but here on AT it started in the bedroom and will end in the bathroom. Yes, once a year we like to elevate this most ignominious of rooms by devoting an entire month to its improvement, and we start today.

So what makes a bathroom great, anyway? And how do you turn a run-of-the-mill rental apartment loo into a place you actually want to spend time?
