November's Theme: The "something elses" have it!

2006_11_01_vote2.jpg
Seems pretty clear that our November theme is not going to be Green Design or Home Tech!

Will it be reversible decor? Home personalization? Lighting? We're considering all the excellent comments (both here and here) and will announce the theme and start blogging it tomorrow morning...

LOVE the idea of landlord-friendly design options, as well as clever storage/organizing solutions.

See all the other comments on the "both" links... tons there!

I like this. I had to cut and paste "Lynn's List" to this comment area {sorry, Lynn, that is what I call it... thanks to Tara!}

Read the following and comment on which one(s) appeal to you:

1) creative solutions - stylising and maximising a small space (we yearn to live big in small places!);
2) reversible decor - being creative and imaginative in a rental space (working around restrictions... creating an individualistic temporary and possibly mobile space);
3) space solutions - storage ideas wanted for teenyweeny places;
4) home personalisation - what defines and inspires your style, and what makes your space so unique;
5) showcasing your cozy corners, or collections;
6) accessorising your home with your favourite things- ie books, art, sculptures, pottery, wall pieces, decorative accents etc;
7) strategic and effective use of lighting (especially when natural light is limited);
8) your layout and design in a one room pad/bachelor/studio;
9) sprucing up and 'oomphing' a space on a tight budget (present your very affordable ideas!);
10) showcase your pre-loved/pre-used finds turned into cool treasures- ie junkyard items, flea markets, thrift shops, garage sales etc;

bonus* beautifying and decorating the home for the coming holidays (perhaps a December theme...??!)

Why don’t we pick one or combo of the above?
(1-10)

Y'll have fantastic creative concepts!
Keep brainstorming and adding to the comment list... November should be a blast!

Lynn (:

{Great job, Lynn and Tara!}

Some of these look like interesting topics for postings, but I would be hard pressed to come up with an entire month's content for them. Then again, I am not as talented and gifted as our divine editors.

Oops . . . I hit the "post" button quicker than I could add my enthusiastic support of "Lynn's List" items 1-3. (i.e., couldn't have said it better myself, so I didn't! Thanks Lynn!)
