Not long ago, we blogged designer Ty Jones and his design firm, Ray Design Studio. But even if you're not in the market for a designer, his Santa Rosa shop is worth checking out if you're in the area.
Located in historic Railroad Square, Ray Design Studio is a light, white, open space. It's the perfect backdrop for a well-edited selection of furniture and housewares.
Ty stocks everything from a $20 Heath Ceramics bud vase to a $2,000 Gus Modern Jack Sofa. The store is full of home accessories from the usual suspects -- Alessi, Chilewich, Jonathan Adler, Kartell, Thomas Paul -- but they're mixed in with vintage china and furniture, floor coverings from Crispina, furniture from Arvid, Atlantico, and Oly Studio, lighting not just from Artemide but from Currey & Company. There's -- literally -- something for every budget and every taste.

Nice, and right near me too. I've been meaning to check it out.
This article has been stuck at the top of my RSS feed since it was posted - the problem is that the year on the article has been set to 2010 instead of 2007.
Wow. I need to go there. Now.
