What inspired you to use color? My wife got tired of the apartment white walls that the house had when we purchased. She suggested that we brighten things up a bit with accent color on the walls. It worked!...
Color Tip: Select one bold color for a visual pop and then follow through with strong, but a little more soothing colors for the rest of the areas to create a mood that you like. Remember, large areas tend to change from the color chips in the store.
Colors Used: salmon, chic yellow, light chartreuse, grape, lavender.
Well, it's certainly not boring...
...but it's like the "Before" in one of those HGTV makeover shows.

I agree with above.

I don´t really get this one. Why are there photos of the ceiling, the huge PC monitor, the printer...? Everything looks so cluttered and unorganized. Why didn´t you clean the place a bit before taking photos? Your choice of colors isn´t helping much. Sorry.

I wasn't crazy the color choices here and I agree with jjanul that the place looked cluttered.

I concur....
There aren't any style choices here...just some random colors on the wall amongst a lot of clutter...

I really like the idea of delineating the planes of the walls and half walls with different colors. The lived-in quality of the photos is actually an important point to keep in mind when shooting, but I definitely agree about the effect of clutter, especially when viewing these relatively small images online. As for the choices themselves, they're not what I would have done. At all.

i think the people entering the contest need to realize that this is about more than just PAINT colors.

Yeck.
??????? Hmm...
the floors are nice.

I tried. I looked at the pictures twice, but I just can't like these colors together! Enamorada is right: it's about more than just paint. The walls clash with the wood and furniture. The fixtures are horrible. And the bathroom...oh! I feel traumitized by these colors.

omg. just looking at the thumbnails was difficult. sorry but the colors look awful together and the place looks too cluttered for the colors to shine. it's an eyesore

I'm too nice to say what I really think because I plan to enter a contest once my place is exactly the way I want it ... so I'm gonna just agree with everyone else.

I'm thinking that it's very interesting, and with some decluttering and the right staging it could be fabulous. The purple in the bathroom really needs (I think) strong furnishings to stand up to it--like all black toilet, sink, tub, etc. And a new lighting fixture. The purple is screaming for a really glamorous setup.

I definitely agree with kuroneko. I love the use of accent colors, but I would tone it down just a smidgen. Also, some great storage furniture would get rid of the clutter and also not make the color seem overwhelming.
Love the purple bathroom! Very bold! I would accent it with silver face plating over the switches and maybe a rocco mirror and different lighting fixture. It definitely has glam potential.

The purple is reminiscent of some garishly painted narrow stairways leading to similarly garishly painted tiny old bathrooms one encounters in some NYC restaurants, clubs, bars...etc. Maybe it could be a good thing(?) but I'm not feeling this.

The color combination is kind of horrible. The place seems cluttered, especially the kitchen.
Also the pictures are not the best.
One thing that I would change and that I think would have a big impact is to paint those wood doors. It seems cheap wood and they clash with the colors. If they were wight they would give some balance to the place.
I think that is one of the problems, there is no balance and the purple doesn't really go with anything. If you have those kind of colors there needs to be some neutrals to balance it out.
