I need a color palette for a very small space of approx 400 sqft. What designer would you turn to for a color palette? I have some favorites (Sarah Richardson, Karen McAloon). Is there someone you would turn to for this to begin your design?

Thanks for the advice!

I have a question. How accurate are the shows on HGTV in portraying the work process between interior designers and their clients in real life? Most of the shows seem to portray the hosts presenting their designs to the clients without actually involving them in the process, is that how it is typically done when one hires an interior designer?

I need a medicine chest--for logistical reasons, it must be a surface mount, and I'd like to get as much storage space as possible without overwhelming the small space. I'm thinking of this one from Restoration Hardware:

Anyone have experience with it? Is this a quality product? And what kind of light would go with it?

yukirei, I've wondered that, too.

I want to hire a designer, but I'm afraid they'll redo my place into something I don't like.
