what about lofgren's for a dresser? does anyone know about the quality available there?

let's talk dresser sources. I need something big that I can share with my boyfriend; while of course I want something stylish and sturdy, I feel that I don't need to invest as much in this piece of furniture. Like, maybe one step up from Ikea--that usually means West Elm to me, but the only one I like from them is 900! For West Elm quality....? Anyone have any good ideas? I'd like to spend between 2 and 500 bones. Thanks!

Perhaps Pottery Barn or PB Teen? They seem to have some choices ~$500:

I found a website on AT (it may have actually been a link to another blog and they had the actual link to the website). It was a furniture store out of Europe, and they had these great mirrored desks.

Anyway, it might be a longshot, but does anyone know what I'm talking about? If not, would you be able to give me some suggestions for finding an affordable mirrored desk/consoel/table?

Anyone know of a good wholesale flower market in the East Bay? I'm totally jonesing for some big, flowering branches and other foliage-y things, but as I live and work in Oakland, getting into the City to hit the SF Flower Mart isn't always feasible. There used to be a wholesale flower market in Emeryville, but they seem to have closed down ... Where do all the East Bay restaurants get their flowers?

Any tips would be much appreciated!
