Some of our new apartment's walls are in bad shape. The bathroom had cracks that were shoddily covered and not painted over and we have the start of some water damage, there's one part of one bedroom wall that seems to have separated from the "skeleton" so that if you tap it is wobbles like sheet metal (and makes that part of the wall seem hollow), and touch-up paint is a different sheen (eggshell vs. pearl). I think legally, I really only have a case if the apartment is unlivable", but he never repainted after the old tenant, and I'd like to know what kind of responsibility he has. The rest of the apartment is, for the most part, ok. Advice?

I'm sorry, "he" being our landlord. He's a nice guy, he just won't get back to us.

Ok, I accidentally submitted that last one without finishing my sentence. I'm not normally this spacey.

The rest of it: Does anyone have any experience with Benjamin Moore Seaport Blue 2060-30 or Laguna Blue 2059-30?

Does anyone have suggestions on how to decorate one's walls with a lot of unrelated, brightly-colored photography without it looking too busy? Any examples of it done successfully?

Now it's summertime I'm trying not to use my electric clothes dryer so much. Can anyone recommend a really good drying rack as a replacement?

These just seem to go wobbly after a couple months of use:

So I'm thinking something along these lines, but wondered if people had any specific suggestions:

Thanks.

I've been using this one from Ikea and quite like it. It's an A-frame, so it's sturdy, and it's big enough to hang a full load of laundry. (drawbacks: it has a large footprint and it's made of metal/plastic instead of wood)

Every time I've had a wooden drying rack, it has gotten moldy. I bought a metal one (from Wal-Mart? BB&B? can't remember) and it's been fine for years. There's only a little bit of plastic on it, like at the joints and the feet, so it's not cheap looking.

www.lehmans.com makes excellent, sturdy wood drying racks. The small is really quite large. The medium is huge. I have never had a mold problem. Hope I never do.

Dancingspring - if you use the same mat and frame for the photographs it will give them a bit of unity.
