Anyone have any comments on paint colors for a couple accent walls (bright & small apartment)? Here are the colors we are deciding from, BUT are open to other suggestions!

Wish list:
Bright
Cheery
Not super dark

Kitchen: BM Orange Sky, BM Mandarin Orange, Behr Mango Madness

Living Room: BM Margarita, Glidden Fresh Lime, Behr Grape Green

Entry Hall: Ralph Lauren Aegean Blue, BM poolside blue, Behr Teal Zeal

We will get any paint matched to BM paint. Please help us!!! It would be much appreciated! :)

I love a good orange - very navel orange color and I think it's very flattering as you see it in a lot of tv backgrounds during shows. Again, I will rave about my favorite paint - which is not bright, but a great light color - Scrambled Egg by Kelly Moore. When I first did it, at least 5 people that saw it went and used it for their walls.
If you have a small place I think it's good to keep the rooms in the same color family so there's a nice flow and it makes it feel a bit more open - so maybe an orange, lighter orange and yellow or something like that.

hello!
i am trying to track down a wall light that i saw at someone's apartment and would love some help. it is a red squarish panel with an old-fashioned bulb socket. when you switch on the light by pulling on the chain, an image of a bulb is illuminated on the panel.
any thoughts?

I'm looking for a house/apt. swap - my Manhattan apt. for your SF/Marin apt. or house. Dates are 8/31 - 9/5. Is anyone interested? If so, email me at addg1 at verizon dot net

has anyone ever done VRBO with their home? How did it turn out? We've got an 1800 sq ft mountain home that we're downsizing from, but with the sales market the way it is, we think vacation rentals might be a better way to go....but the questions we have are liability? Security? Insurance? and so on.....

anyone?

Hi,

I have 2 vrbo homes in the caribbean which is a hot vacation spot. As long as your home is in a popular vacation area, you can do pretty well with it. Don't expect huge profits though. Being able to cover your mortgage and insurance and some expenses may be what you should expect from it. Also, expect to invest an initial chunk of money to prep the home for vacation renters. Depending on where you are, their expectation for a vacation home may be high when comparing it with other homes in your area. Good luck!

Thanks FC, that's a good start....where we're at is a drive from the 'hot spots' but it is a nice retreat place.....and the place is nice, but not palatial......
