Our dream unnecessary room to have in our home would be a dedicated gift wrapping room - yeah, we know we're a little odd. Until then, we store all of our wrapping supplies in this Hanging Gift Wrap Organizer. It hangs nicely in the front hall closet when not in use, and anytime we need to wrap a gift it's easy to pull out and hang from the dining room door frame.

Wow - this is a brilliant idea.

love the idea! BUT it wouldn't be enough room for me! I want a whole room but currently have only been allowed to consume an entire closet....I hang the tissue paper from the hanger rod...and I put plastic shelving (given to me for my garage) in for my ribbons and paper.....
I'm a wrap-a-holic also.

atlantadesigner, we have a store in Boston called Paper Source and they sell that wrapping paper on the left (gray with white flowers). They also sell it in other colors.
Here's a link to it on their online store:

I've been keeping my wrapping supplies in a cheapo hanging garment bag for years and it works just great.

You could make a foldaway cabinet for your giftwrap station, too. "Readymade" showcased a fold-out bar a few years back and you can find the instrux here: http://readymademag.com/store/
Although it just looked like a cabinet with a fold-out front, which I can't think would be too hard to make. Add some horizontal dowels and viola! gift wrapping heaven!

doesn't anybody use re-usable fabric bags and things? This organizer is developed for new wrapping paper only and that alone makes it a wasteful thing. There's no good space for paper gift bags; there's no space for recycled wrapping paper....we (re) use a set of fabric bags I sewed up a couple of years ago. Over and over and over. It's colourful and environmentally friendly (more so because the fabric was also recycled). In my hood you can follow a gift bag through a whole cycle of kids' parties until it's finally transformed into part of a birthday card....

wc_canuck:
you can't see it, but the back of this organizer has two large pockets you can slip gift bags, folded tissue paper, etc into.

Hang 12 tops or bottoms using one Hanger. If you suffer from a small closet and need more space and want to stay organized than check out the HankyTankyHanger.
Thanks
