Kleiderleiste Coatrack

Every time we do a group Cure here at AT we get landing strips on the brain. In San Francisco, home of so many coat closet-less flats and long narrow-hallways, devising an effective landing strip can be especially challenging.

So we're intriged by a sleek new brushed stainless steel design from the Euro duo of schindlersalmeron, called Kleiderleiste (the name translates as "barcode").

The Kleiderleiste Coatrack comes in three standard lengths (60, 80 and 100cm) and those grooves align your hangers (they have to be the mobile kind) flush with the wall, which makes this rack a good fit for narrow spaces. At a depth of 5 centimeters, you could probably even mount it on the wall behind the door.

Kleiderleiste is available at UK-based Mocha for BP 58 or 85, depending on length. That converts to roughly $113 - $167.
