Personal Outdoor Dwelling System

4-22-personaldwelling.jpgSummer always makes us want to spend as much time as possible outdoors, but we're definitely part of the porch-and-deck crowd as opposed to the hiking-and-camping type. Another option for that great mix of indoor/outdoor living are the Personal Outdoor Dwelling Systems from architect Corey W. Crawford. Each structure is client and site specific, and built as greenly as possibly, making them healthy for both the users and the earth.

Crawford's website explains: "We will meet with you and personally discuss, visualize, and create your individual concept for your property. The design will be site specific, sustainable, and eco-friendly and healthy for your family. We are constantly searching to reclaim building materials."

Sounds pretty great to us. Now to come up with the cash, oh, and a site to actually build one on.

Oh! I'm a hiking and camping type person more than a porch and deck person, but this is AWESOME! I'd love to sip margaritas while lounging in one of these neat "dwelling systems"!

I'll bet "dwelling systems" cost more than sheds...

Huh. The nearly identical concept from DWR got slammed on this very site not too terribly long ago...

I love this concept, but yeah like a dozen companies make these (readymade magazine sells plans).

The dwell shed is my favorite becuause of the siding choice, (and i choose them becuase they're local to me).

I too have nowhere to put one but i spend alot of my time contemplating living in one while i rehab a home in bad shape, and later using it as an office/studio.
