Modern Porch Swing

9.15.9 porch 1.jpgSitting on our porch swing with a glass of iced tea is one of our favorite pastimes--well, when we had a porch, that is. We loved this model, posted on Apartment Therapy LA, and we can't help but swoon over this lovely modern incarnation of a classic...

9.15.9 porch 2.jpgNotCot, a favorite source of things aesthetically pleasing, led us to ALaModeStuff, who featured these beautiful powder-coated steel porch swings. Designed by Rick Brown and David Cano of Brown Studios, they are a little out of our reach at $700, but it's tempting! They are available in orange, teal, white, charcoal, and black--a color palette we also love.

I adore them- and living in the uk means there is less likely to be such scorching hot weather that results in your bottom getting burned. Imagine them on a very modern roof terrace. Or in a garden with lots of children's stuff. Or as a way to introduce colour to a difficult part of the garden- under a tree, for example. Oh yes, that would be coming home with me- if I didn't live in a flat...
