Cole Hardware How-To Articles

We used to live a block away from Cole Hardware, and would happily go down there and ask them a million questions about whatever current DIY project we were having trouble with - it was great. We were thinking that any project of ours post-move would be seriously hindered without their expertise, when we came across the how-to section of their website...

As one of the best hardware stores in the city, we know the instructions featured by Cole Hardware are to be trusted. Most (if not all) of them come from Creative Homeowner, which publishes lots of home improvement books, so the diagrams are straight forward and easy to understand, too. I loved living near Cole Hardware for several years, and often went there just to check out what was new in hardware...very fun place.

There are awesome little quirky hardware stores in most cities, but they're a breed thats getting slaughtered by the big boys. They may not always have every little thing you need, but but if you have a question about to accomplish something they're almost always more knowledgeable about projects than your average floor person at the big home center.
