SF Good Questions: Knotty Pine Walls and White Woodwork?

AT:SF, We have an older home and I have changed or repainted all the trim in the house (white) except the dining room /kitchen. 2 walls are knotty pine and two walls are painted with the natural woodwork. Cabinets are older and painted also. I really would like white woodwork but I must have a problem as I am not sure about it with the knotty pine. I like the knotty pine as it is pretty I think and so easy to clean. I need ideas - please help!!

Bobbie,

You may have missed our debate about knotty pine: Good Questions: Should We Paint Over Our Knotty Pine Tongue and Groove?

But, of course, if you love the knotty pine, keep it.

Anyone?

I love the knotty pine! It gives your cozy little nook there a wonderful spa feel ... don't paint it.

I would paint it all white and then use colors in the bedding. Yowza!
