We were expecting more purple in the fashion report, and were frankly surprised to see bright yellow still hanging around (not that we're complaining - we love the happy pop it adds to a room). As far as new trends go, we're pretty partial to Palace Blue and one of the greens, we're having difficulty deciding between Dark Citron and Vibrant Green. Any colors you think Pantone should have added? Which (if any) colors are you looking forward to add to your home?

Horrible selection. Tired old colors say 1980s all over again.

can't say any of these do it for me...except maybe slate gray.
they make for an icky grouping. as ADonuts said, very 80's, like jelly shoes.

these look especially bad all laid out together like that above. after browsing through the report I am a little more persuaded that some are actually nice colors.

I love all the colors and I'm happy they are so bright and beautiful. I used slate gray in my bedroom, and the bright yellow in the guest room and as an accent color in the living room. I think they have a good pulse on what's hot right now.

They remind me of Caribbean house colors. They can be great in the right warm-weather setting (Palm Beach, Miami, New Orleans). But maybe not in the gray light of a northern city.

Yawn. Who even remembers last year's prediction? Black is still the new black.

It's good they work for '09...my wedding is in July 09 and I am thinking of a very similar blue and green to use as my colors....

I think these colors are perfect for any home.....as accents. Almost no one is going to use these all together. But a few of these picked up in pillows, throws, side tables, chairs, etc would look good anywhere.
Also, if I were a color, I'd be Dark Citron. I love this color so much, my friends have started calling it "Amanda green".

Dark citron is about the only halfway decent one - otherwise horrid choices for anything bigger than an eggcup.

Dark citron and slate gray are the only decent colors. The rest are absolutely horrid. Has me hoping the color predictions for '09 are all wrong.

I like the slate grey.

slate grey, otherwise, ick.
this is proof that being trendy about decorating is something to be avoided

EW, that composition made my eyes cross and bile rise in my throat. Disappointing at best. Slate gray, fine, big whoop, the Palace Blue is OK in small doses I guess, but that rose and fuchsia red are just so horrible. They distract me from even being able to see the other colors. Oh and super lemon - a yellow DON'T! half of these say "state mental hospital" to me.

I like all the colors except Dark Citron, and even that would be okay in small amounts.
